The four engine options on the new 2016 Ford F-150 are: 3.5-liter Ti-VCT V6, 2.7-liter, EcoBoost V6, 5.0L Ti-VCT V8 and 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6. 3.5-liter Ti-VCT V6

This is the base-level powertrain that comes on the new 2016 Ford F-150. This standard naturally aspirated base engine has a max tow rating of 7,600 pounds and is able to make 282 horsepower with 253 pound-feet of torque.

2.7-liter EcoBoost V6

This engine will be very appealing to drivers who are looking for impressive fuel economy, but still want great overall performance out of their trucks. This engine is in its second generation, and uses direct injection and twin turbocharging technology to produce 325 horsepower and 375 pound-feet of torque. However, what’s most impressive is its fuel economy. The 2.7-liter EcoBoost engine is able to achieve a best-in-class highway fuel economy rating of 22 miles per gallon

5.0-liter Ti-VCT V8

When it comes to truck engines, there is nothing more iconic than a Ford V8. This powertrain boasts extreme performance with its 385 horsepower and 387 pound-feet of torque, which is tough enough to tackle even the toughest jobs.

3.5-liter EcoBoost V6

Ford is also offering a twin turbocharged 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 that incorporates twin turbocharging with the 3.5-liter six-cylinder to offer 365 horsepower with an unbelievable 420 pound-feet of torque. This has been one of our best-selling powertrains in the Ford F-150 lineup this year.
