Is Ford Bringing the Ranger and Bronco Back to the U.S?

Ford Ranger and Bronco Rumors

There have been a lot of truly iconic vehicles throughout the long and successful history of the Ford Motor Company. Two of the most popular models of all time are the Ford Bronco, and the Ford Ranger. Unfortunately, neither of those vehicles are produced here in the United States anymore. However, that may be changing in the near future, and fans of the Ford brand are already getting excited about it. There have been rumors swirling around the automotive industry that Ford may be bringing back the Bronco SUV and Ranger pickup truck. Therefore, we have decided to dedicate this article to telling you everything that we know so far about these Ford Ranger and Bronco rumors.

Ford Ranger and Bronco RumorsFirst of all, it’s important for us to mention that none of this information has been officially confirmed by Ford yet. They do not discuss future model plans, and this situation is no exception to that. Therefore, all of the information that we are going to present in this article is speculation and rumor-based only.

It is no secret that Ford will be moving the production of the C-Max from Michigan to Mexico after 2018, and that Ford and the UAW are working on figuring out which models will replace the C-Max at that assembly plant. Supposedly, the Ford Ranger and Bronco may be the models that will replace the C-Max at that Michigan plant, which would be very exciting.

The Detroit Free Press quoted an anonymous source who is close to the negotiations who has said that the Ford Ranger will begin production at the Michigan plant by 2020, and the Bronco would be following shortly after. However, the source was not allowed to comment publicly on that information yet.

We are keeping our fingers crossed that this information turns out to be true, because we would love to have the Bronco and Ranger back in our showrooms here at Matt Ford. We will be sure to provide you with additional details about this story as they become available.

Next-Generation 2017 Ford Escape Rumors

2017 Ford Escape Rumors

When the Ford Escape originally went on sale back in the year 2000, it was an instant success. Drivers instantly fell in love with the styling, capability and surprisingly spacious interior of the compact SUV. That early success has continued to grow throughout the years, and many people consider it to be the best vehicle in its competitive segment. There have been three generations of the Escape so far, and the most recent generation was released back in 2012. Therefore, there have been a lot of rumors stating that Ford has a new redesigned Ford Escape coming in the near future for the 2017 model year. We have some evidence to support these rumors, so we are going to tell you everything that we know about the next-generation 2017 Ford Escape rumors.

Spy Shots of the 2017 Ford Escape

There were recently some spy shots of the 2017 Ford Escape captured. Although the compact SUV was heavily camouflaged, it was still obvious that there are some major styling changes. We do not have permission to show you images of the spy shots that were taken, however, we can tell you about the styling changes that were captured in those images. There was a completely redesigned front end, which is probably the most significant styling change. The front end no longer resembles the Fusion, and looks closer to front end on the larger Ford Edge model now. We noticed that there is a bulkier grille and deeper grille, which should really stand out in traffic. There were also some styling changes occurring in the rear of the vehicle, such as new redesigned tail lamps.

2017 Ford Escape Technology

We know that the current-generation Escape is coming with Ford’s new SYNC 3 infotainment system, but will not have Apple CarPlay or Android Auto capability. Therefore, a lot of experts feel that those two features will be added for the next-generation of the Escape.

Anyone who would like to take a test drive in the current-generation 2016 Ford Escape should stop in and visit our team at Matt Ford. Our dealership staff would be happy to set up your test drive and answer any of your questions.

Can you Convert the Ford Transit van Into a Motorhome?

Converting the Ford Transit van Into Motorhomes

Here at Matt Ford we like to share unique and innovative things that people are doing with their Ford brand vehicles with our readers. We recently learned that there is a new growing trend of people converting the Ford Transit utility van into motorhomes. There are actually companies out there who specialize in converting the Transit van into motorhomes for outdoor fun and adventures, and we’ll tell you all about it in this article.

Converting the Ford Transit van Into MotorhomesWhen you think of a traditional RV, a giant bulky camper with poor fuel economy and a huge price tag is probably what comes to mind. None of those qualities sound very appealing, and that is what makes these Ford Transit motorhomes such a great idea. The Transit is the best-selling commercial van in America because of its spaciousness, fuel efficiency, capability and functionality. All of those characteristics work perfectly with transforming it into a dependable and cost-efficient motorhome for your family.

According to Ford Brand Manager for Transit and E-Series, Yaro Hetman, “many of these customers are interested in outdoor adventures like kayaking, mountain biking, snowboarding and such, more national park than RV park. Sales of smaller Class C motorhomes have been on the rise for the last few years as younger, more active buyers enter the market.”

There are a growing number of companies out there who are designing and building motorhome conversions for the Ford Transit van. The Recreational Vehicle Association claims that most of these cost between $60,000 to $130,000, which is a lot cheaper than a traditional RV.

“Outdoor adventure-seeking RV customers want compact, maneuverable motorhomes that can comfortably carry their families and gear from one adventure to another,” Hetman said. “Transit’s efficiency, comfortable ride and affordability make it a great choice as a motorhome for these outdoor enthusiasts.”

Anyone interested in learning more about the Ford Transit should feel free to visit us here at Matt Ford. We have Transit vans in stock on our lot, and we would be happy to set you up with a test drive and answer any questions. We look forward to speaking with you soon.
